Artist's Description

Another addition to the Old or Abandoned Series. With the establishment of water power and the building of the railroad in 1847, the Graniteville district of Westford, MA came alive with industry. Following the industrial revolution Mr. Sargent moved to Westford from Lowell and established several businesses including this Machine shop and quarry mill in 1877. C.G. Sargent's and Sons Company stood the test of time until 1990 when the company declared bankruptcy. To this day Graniteville as it was aptly named is still involved in the granite quarrying business to this day!

About Barbara Bardzik

Barbara Bardzik

I've always loved to take photos ever since my parents let me play with their camera as a little girl. I love to seek out different angles of objects, architecture, landscapes, and people to create a unique and beautiful image. Behind the camera lens you take the time to stop and appreciate the bigger picture in life as well as the small details. I enjoy sharing my viewpoint through my lens with the world and hope it encourages everyone to stop and enjoy all that surrounds them. Even the everyday things! Any of these pieces would make a great addition to any décor, office, remodel, or make great gifts for others. Hope you enjoy!
