Artist's Description

As you pull into the harbor at Oak Bluff on Martha's Vineyard everyone races to get off the ferry. Time to get to the beaches and shops and enjoy all there is to do and see. It reminded me of the rush on a city street as everyone ambles to get to work, looks ahead and forgets to enjoy the buildings, city life and scene around them. I took a pause along the dock to enjoy these old pilings hold up this heavy, long dock leading the way to town. I was in awe of the structure and architecture. I wondered how old this dock was, how did they manage to place those heavy pilings in the water, and how could everyone walk by so quickly and not pause to take it all in.

About Barbara Bardzik

Barbara Bardzik

I've always loved to take photos ever since my parents let me play with their camera as a little girl. I love to seek out different angles of objects, architecture, landscapes, and people to create a unique and beautiful image. Behind the camera lens you take the time to stop and appreciate the bigger picture in life as well as the small details. I enjoy sharing my viewpoint through my lens with the world and hope it encourages everyone to stop and enjoy all that surrounds them. Even the everyday things! Any of these pieces would make a great addition to any décor, office, remodel, or make great gifts for others. Hope you enjoy!
