Artist's Description

The Last Run of the Day is bittersweet. After a long thrilling day racing down the ski slopes at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in Maine, USA your legs are feeling fatigued and your fingers and toes are starting to feel the effects of a cold day on the mountain. It's hard to say goodbye to such a fun-filled day but your body is telling you otherwise. For me it is also the most beautiful time of the day. The sun is beginning to sink behind the mountain creating longer shadows of the trees and beautiful contrast of light and shadow on the mountainside. I always enjoy this last ride on the chairlift just taking in all of the beauty that surrounds me. Time to get off the chair and swish down the slopes one last time. A belly-warming cocktail and warm fire awaits your tired body in the lodge.

About Barbara Bardzik

Barbara Bardzik

I've always loved to take photos ever since my parents let me play with their camera as a little girl. I love to seek out different angles of objects, architecture, landscapes, and people to create a unique and beautiful image. Behind the camera lens you take the time to stop and appreciate the bigger picture in life as well as the small details. I enjoy sharing my viewpoint through my lens with the world and hope it encourages everyone to stop and enjoy all that surrounds them. Even the everyday things! Any of these pieces would make a great addition to any décor, office, remodel, or make great gifts for others. Hope you enjoy!
